UN: Agreement reached with Syria on chemical arms probe

The UN, announced that an agreement had been reached with Syria on its investigation into the use of chemical weapons in Syria, AFP reported on Saturday.

The brief statement on Friday said, "The discussions were thorough and productive and led to an agreement on the way forward."  The statement did not give any other details, such as whether Syria would give the UN inspectors access to areas that they wished to investigate.
