UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned Israel's decision to build additional housing units in Gilo, Army Radio reported Tuesday overnight. Ban referred to the sprawling south Jerusalem neighborhood as a "settlement" built on land Israel "conquered from the Palestinians in 1967." Following earlier condemnatory statements from the US and the UK, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu instructed government ministers to refrain from making statements reacting to the international responses to Israel's decision.
