LONDON – Israel’s ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor said Wednesday at a JNF fundraiser in Hendon, London, that Israel and the Jewish people are fighting a battle in which “lies and half truths” are used.

He told an audience of 150 supporters that each and every one is on the frontline of “one of the most important battlefields of our time” in which the enemies of Israel are attacking “our soft belly.”

“It is a completely different battlefield than you have known,” he said. “In the past they tried to get us through military means, which didn’t work. Then they tried through economic means and the Arab boycott, that didn’t work either.”

Prosor was Israel’s ambassador to Britain before becoming Israel’s 16th Permanent Representative to the UN in 2011.
