US Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) and a bipartisan group consisting of more than 12 members of Congress urged President Barack Obama to increase funding for the Iron Dome missile defense system program on the eve of his visit to Israel.

In a letter to the president, Lamborn wrote increasing funding for Iron Dome is important because "it is saving lives and many of us in Congress would support doing so.""Such a move would speak volumes about your commitment to the safety and the security of the State of Israel," he added.
