US says bin Laden son-in-law conspired to kill US nationals

WASHINGTON - The US government on Thursday charged Osama bin Laden's son-in-law with a conspiracy to kill US nationals, after he was arrested in Turkey and brought to New York City to stand trial.
"No amount of distance or time will weaken our resolve to bring America's enemies to justice," Attorney General Eric Holder said in a statement accompanying the indictment against Suleiman Abu Ghaith, who also served as a spokesman for al Qaeda.
Abu Ghaith is expected to be arraigned before a US District judge on Friday morning.
