Unemployment rate up to 8.4% or 252,000 people

The number of unemployed in Israel crossed the 250,000 mark in May, the Central Bureau of Statistics announced on Thursday. A total of 252,000 people were out of a job constituting 8.4% of the workforce. In April the figure stood at 8.2% while in March it was 7.9%.
