The Union of Local Authorities has announced that it is holding off its planned truck procession protest which was set to block the entrance to Jerusalem Monday morning. The action was meant to protest planned cuts to local authorities' budgets. But union leaders said they had reached a compromise with Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz, and that the protest would thus be postponed at least until the union's general assembly convenes on Thursday.
