Unknown assailants slash tires, spray-paint 'price tag' in Bit Safafa

Unknown assailants slashed the tires of six vehicles in the southern Jerusalem Arab neighborhood of Beit Safafa on Tuesday, spray-painting the words "price tag" at the scene early Tuesday.

So-called price tag vandalism attacks perpetrated by extreme right-wing elements have targeted Palestinians, Israeli-Arabs and left-wing activists in the past several years in response to the evacuation of Jewish settlements in the West Bank.Police were investigating the circumstances of the incident.
