According to the IDF's Spokesperson's Unit, early on Sunday morning a violent demonstration took place in the West Bank town of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah. Dozens of demonstrators hurled rocks at security forces, injuring one Border Police soldier. Security forces then used riot dispersal means to disperse the demonstration, firing at several of the main instigators.

Several reports suggested that one of the Palestinian demonstrators was killed and that another was injured. The IDF Spokesperson's Unit could not confirm the reports.
