Security forces thwarted an attempt to smuggle illegal weapons into Israel on Monday night, the Defense Ministry said in a statement released Tuesday. A 22-year-old Israeli was arrested at a West Bank crossing and authorites found improvised weaponry and an electric taser in his possession. The suspect was transferred the custody to security forces, the statement said.
