A 43-year-old woman was stabbed in the early hours of Friday morning in Jerusalem, Magen David Adom reported.

The report was followed shortly by another report in the same area of the city, regarding a man in his 30's that apparently drank poisonous liquids.

Both were considered to be in critical condition and have been brought to Shaarei Tzedek hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed that the man had stabbed the woman after she broke up with him and then attempted to commit suicide.

According to the Police report, the couple have no previous records or reports of domestic violence.
