Worker killed in Golan oil well accident

A foreign worker was killed on Sunday morning during work on an oil well test site in the Golan Heights.

According to a spokesperson for Afek Oil and Gas, the man, an Australian national, was injured around 10:30 AM while disassembling equipment for well tests at the Ness-2 site and later died of his wounds.

He was employed by a company called Viking, which was chartered by Afek to do the well tests.
