Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said on Sunday that he will vote in favor of release Palestinian prisoners as a gesture of goodwill "with a heavy heart."

"There is definitely a heavy price to releasing terrorists," Ya'alon said. "I wish we wouldn't have gotten to this dilemma, but in the current state of affairs, there will be a heavy price to a decision not to enter a diplomatic process," he added.Ya'alon, however, clarified he will not vote in favor of releasing Israeli Arab prisoners, saying that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas "doesn't represent them."
