In a response seemingly directed to MK David Bitan's (Likud) statements at a cultural event in Beersheba on Saturday former defense minister Moshe Ya'alon issued the following statement via Twitter:

"Dangerous political attempts to destroy the defense establishment and to incite against its leaders are continuing systematically. Embarrassing and worrying. For this, we will pay a very high price."

Ya'alons statement comes in the wake of MK Bitan's accusations that as defense minister Ya'alon served the IDF as opposed to serving the state.
