Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich expressed sorrow at the death of former Israel B'Aliya, Likud and Kadima MK Marina Solodkin on Saturday.

"Marina was a brilliant person, highly educated in economics, opinionated, brave and hard-working, and on multiple occasions I consulted with her on political and economic issues" Yacimovich stated.

"She personally helped thousands of people and was a wonderful partner," the Labor leader added, saying that Israel had lost a great parliamentarian.
