Interior Minister Eli Yishai said he was sure that in his foreign policy speech later Sunday night, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu would manage to stand up for Israeli interests without leading the country to a conflict with the US.
"I am confident the prime minister's speech will not forfeit Israel's interests and will not lead to a conflict with the Obama administration," Yishai told reporters before entering the cabinet meeting on Sunday morning.
Yishai's remarks come amid much speculation ahead of Netanyahu's speech, which he is scheduled to deliver at 8 p.m. at Bar-Ilan University.
