David Rotem, a member of Knesset representing Avigdor Liberman's Yisrael Beytenu party, announced on Tuesday that he is retiring from politics. Rotem's departure comes in the midst of a widespread criminal investigation against a number of high-level party functionaries suspected to have committed a slew of criminal offenses ranging from graft, soliciting and taking bribes, patronage, and fraud.
