Opposition lawmaker MK Nachman Shai (Zionist Union) criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday for his rejection of a French-led initiative to relaunch peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

The MK charged the Netanyahu government of "inviting a political winter" that would isolate Israel from international diplomacy.

"The government is subjecting us to diplomatic isolation and forced settlement against Israel's will - without a future and without hope," he said.
