Leumi Card credit company was granted ISO 14001 status as an environmentally conscious company on Wednesday. The international standard verifies that a company is taking environmentally friendly measures in the running of its business, such as recycling, minimizing energy usage and curbing pollution. Leumi Card cited its decisions to replace all of its managers' cars with hybrids and its on-line bill-retrieval service, which eliminates the paper copy, as examples of its "green" policy. The company said it was planning on replacing all its leased cars with hybrids.
