Shufersal hosts fun day at Luna Park for its nationwide credit-card customers

Notwithstanding Color Red alerts and the threat of rockets and mortars, Tel Avivians are keen on maintaining the reputation of the first Hebrew city as “The city that never stops.” The sentence has a corollary: The city that never stops having fun. To enhance that description, Shufersal supermarket chain (popularly known as Supersol in English) on Friday hosted 3,200 customers who are members of its credit-card club at a fun day at Luna Park. That card holders from all over the country responded to the invitation was indicative of how desperately Israelis require a little fun these days. Among the merrymakers were several well-known personalities who have been busy entertaining the troops as well as bringing cheer to people living in communities near the Gaza Strip. They were happy to be able to take a little time out for themselves and their families. Singer Maya Bouskilla, who came with her son Lenny, said several of her concerts had been canceled due to the security situation. Television star Michal Yanai came with her children, fashion model Natali Dadon brought her family, actor Zohar Liba came with his children, and Master Chef contestants Karen Cohen and Jackie Azoulay brought their families. The go-karts seemed to be the most popular among the many attractions. At the end of a long day, everyone received a package of goodies manufactured under the Shufersal brand name.
