US Attorney General: Decision on Guantanamo won't affect military trials

US Attorney General Michael Mukasey says a recent Supreme Court decision won't affect military trials against enemy combatants. Mukasey, speaking at a Group of Eight meeting of justice and home affairs ministers in Tokyo on Friday, said he was disappointed with the decision. "The court decision does not concern military commission trials, which will continue to procede," Mukasey told reporters. The court ruled Thursday that detainees have constitutional rights and can appeal to civilian courts.
