Wouldn't it be great if we had an honest and objective UN that really, truly sought peace in the world.

As expected and true to form, recently the United Nations quickly passed Resolution 1850, condemning Israel for using "disproportionate force" in its retaliation attack on the Hamas Palestinian Arab militants in Gaza, and calling for an "immediate ceasefire" to prevent Israel from winning the battle and putting the Hamas terrorists out of business.
Everyone knows, or should know, the history of U.N. resolutions - that some 60 percent of them since the U.N. was founded have been condemnations
of Israel, the one lone Jewish state in the U.N. Meanwhile, the 22 Arab member states and 56 Muslim member states never seem to do anything wrong in the eyes of their U.N. colleagues. So, I am proposing that the U.N. get real and pass some resolutions concerning the Hamas Arab terrorists and their actions in the current conflict with Israel and the Israeli military forces. If the host of anti-Israel U.N. members would replace their biased glassesn with lenses that see truth and reality, they would compose resolutions such
as the following:
* Resolution condemning Hamas for their abject failure to implement the conditions of the U.N. sponsored "Roadmap to Peace" calling for the disarming of the Palestinian Arab militants and the dismantling of the several militant groups.
* Resolution condemning Hamas for its disgraceful failure to implement political, cultural, and economic development in Gaza.
* Resolution condemning Hamas for the continuous, unprovoked, and indiscriminant firing of hundreds of explosive rockets and missiles from the Gaza into southern Israel for the last three years, damaging civilian towns, market places, schools and hospitals and endangering and snuffing out the lives of thousands of innocent civilian Israelis.
* Resolution condemning Hamas for their many violations of the ceasefire which they agreed to with the Israeli military.
* Resolution condemning Hamas for violations of the rules of warfare in digging some 40 tunnels under the border between Gaza and Egypt for the purpose of illegally smuggling weapons and ammunition into Gaza for use against Israel.
* Resolution condemning Hamas for locating their military rocket launching sites in civilian areas such as in mosques, schools, hospitals, and
residential areas thus blatantly using their own innocent civilian population as human shields.
* Resolution condemning Hamas for refusing to accept and implement then ceasefire, proposed by the U.N. in the recently passed Resolution 1850.
Wouldn't it be great if we had an honest and objective United Nations organization that really and truly sought peace in the world, especially in
the Middle East? Wouldn't it be great if the U.N. would recognize and admit the truth and place blame on the real aggressor which is the hateful, inhumane and militant Hamas terrorists, rather than the Israelis?
As indicated, Israel is the one tiny Jewish state in the U.N., compared with 22 Arab states and 56 Moslem states. Can we expect the U.N. to be any
different?
