Gaza-based terrorists targeted farming districts of southern Israel in the attacks.

The Israel Police said it knew of 15 rocket blasts, including 11 in the western Negev and four in the Lachish region. The rockets failed to cause injuries or damages, police added.

Air raid sirens sent residents fleeing for cover in the Eshkol, Sha’ar Hanegev and Ashkelon coastal regions.

Overnight on Monday, the Israel Air Force launched multiple air strikes in Gaza, targeting an area used to fire rockets in northern Gaza and multiple terrorist targets in the south of the Strip, the army said.

All of the targets were struck accurately, the army added. The air strikes followed a salvo of Palestinian rockets in the Eshkol region shortly after midnight.

Palestinian sources said there were no reports of injuries in the air strikes.

On Sunday, Palestinian terror factions fired three long-range Grad rockets in the direction of Beersheba. The projectiles landed on the outskirts of the city, leading the municipality to cancel schools on Sunday.

Overnight on Sunday, a Hamas man was killed and a second injured in an IAF air strike on a rocket-launching cell that was in the final stages of firing into southern Israel, the IDF said.
