IDF arrests 2 PA intelligence officers in Hebron

Palestinian sources identify officers as Ahmed Bhais, Mohamed Abu Eid; arrests made after thorough search of homes in Yatta.

Two PA intelligence offers were arrested in Yatta, south of Hebron, during an overnight raid Saturday. The IDF confirmed the suspects were arrested but would give no further details at this stage.
Palestinian sources identified the two officers as Ahmed Bhais, 40, and Mohamed Abu Eid, 48.
Bhais is the director of operations at the PA's General Intelligence Service in Hebron.
Abu Eid serves as commander of the PA General Intelligence Service in Yatta.
The sources said IDF soldiers arrested the senior officers after conducting a thorough search of their homes in Yatta.
According to the sources, the two PA intelligence officers were responsible for the arrest of dozens of Hamas supporters in the Hebron area in the past few years.
