IDF arrests Palestinian for allegedly attempting to stab soldier in West Bank

A Palestinian who attempted to stab a soldier near the West Bank Palestinian town of Azoun was arrested on Friday.

The incident occurred when an army unit on a routine patrol stopped a vehicle for a security check.

Soldiers identified a suspicious object in the pocket of one of the passengers, and asked him to present the object to them. He then pulled out a knife and attempted to stab a soldier, the army said.

Soldiers took the man into custody, and he is being questioned. There were no injuries.
