Netanyahu attends cyber conference, meets with Chinese FM in Davos

Netanyahu, Wang talk bilateral cooperation in technology for Israel, China; stresses global threat of internet during cyber conference.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi at the 2014 World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos on Friday, the Prime Minister's office announced.

During their meeting, Wang Yi thanked the Prime Minister for hosting him in Jerusalem last month.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said that their meeting was an expression of the advanced state of relations between Israel and China.He said that Israel wanted to further develop bilateral cooperation in technology and foreign affairs between the two countries.
Chinese Foreign Minister Yi said that pursuant to their meeting in Israel, he wanted to report that five joint committees had met and that matters had to be discussed in detail, especially regarding high-tech.
Also on Friday in Davos, Netanyahu attended a special meeting held on the subject of cyber security. The meeting was titled 'Risk and Responsibility in a Hyper Connected World.'
The conference was attended by Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, and dozens of senior executives from around the world .
Netanyahu addressed the conference participants saying, "The connected world in which we live has endless opportunities, challenged and attempts to be constantly attacked. We are talking about a global threat, and therefore it must be treated that way."
This is to be the first time Netanyahu attended the conference since becoming prime minister in 2009.
