The My Israel movement together with several other NGOs were scheduled to hold a demonstration entitled "Obama, Israel won't commit suicide," outside of the US Embassy in Tel Aviv on Sunday evening. The protest comes in response to US President Barack Obama's Thursday Middle East speech in which he called for a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed upon land swaps.
Demonstrators planned to symbolically wear nooses around their necks during the protest against the speech in which Obama "requested exaggerated concessions from Israel without requesting Palestinians give up the right of return," My Israel said in a statement.

My Israel senior member, Ayelet Shaked said that "the US president's strange and unprecedented request to give Hamas, supporters of the same bin Laden that Obama just killed, a country, is like asking the Israelis to commit suicide."
"Millions of refugees flooding Kfar Saba, together with handing over areas which secure Ben Gurion airport and the missiles that will fall on central Israel, constitute requests that should be made of no nation, definitely not of a friend such as Israel," Shaked stated.
"Israelis state the following unequivocally: There are those among us ready to make concessions and those who are not. But nobody is ready to commit suicide," she concluded.
