ABOUT YOU >>> Age: 22 Residence: Toronto, Canada Married? With children? No and no Current occupation: Corporate sales. Man, that sounds really boring Dream job/career: Philanthropist...is that a career? What are you most proud of: Hopefully I haven't done it yet! Religious affiliation / observance: Jewish - the more I learn about Judaism, the more I want! Last person / party I voted for: Stephen Harper, Conservative Party Next person / party I will vote for: If it were still around, the Rhino Party (look it up)! My history (100 words max): Born & raised in Toronto's vast suburbia, moved to Ottawa for university and then back here for work. Went to college, and like many students, started searching for the bigger life answers. And after much MUCH looking, it's kinda funny how the truth was sitting in front of me the whole time. (FYI- I'm talking about Judaism!) Family history (100 words max): Third generation Canadian; great grandparents were from Ireland, Holland, Romania & Russia, all came to Canada in early 1900s. One side is Jewish, the other side Christian. And they're all super! When it comes to my identity, it's like being ethnically Christian but Jewish by religion. Sort of like eating white bread with mayonnaise, but washing and benching afterwards! Greatest invention: Well, you know, electricity's been good to me so far If you could have dinner with any person in the world it would be: Abraham, the first Jew. In the face of the entire planet telling him he's wrong for believing in one G-d, he knew what was right. Wow, what chutzpah! If you could go anywhere on vacation, it would be: Nepal, and up until recently, I would have said Tibet Feminine/masculine trait I'd like to have: I'm happy just the way I am, thank you very much, JPost! What angers you: Baseless hatred among Jews What makes you happy: Taking a moment to reflect and realize how unbelievably blessed I am...and a good episode of Arrested Development! Last book I read was: Some paperback action thriller whose name I forgot Comfort food: Spaghetti & meatballs Anything you regret? I regret- so badly - that I went right into work after college. I wish I had taken some time off for yeshiva and some personal things before! My life five years from now: I can't even venture to guess....as long as I've still hair then, I'm happy You may not like it but I have something controversial to say: All Jews in the world are totally and completely responsible for each other. I hope we can all commit to ourselves how every act of kindness, openness and love for our fellow Jews can literally change the entire world. Whether it's helping the needy, volunteering or doing acts of outreach, we are all 100% responsible for one another!
