Paramedics from the capitol city win competition in Tiberias.

True to their reputation as one of the world's leading emergency medical services providers, a team of Magen David Adom paramedics from Jerusalem was crowned the overall winner of the inaugural Israel Emergency Medical Services Competition in Tiberias Wednesday.
A team of paramedics from MDA Ayalon took second place. The top international team after the Israelis was the squad from the Czech Republic, edging Canada, Poland and Turkey.
The competition, which began Monday, included IDF as well as MDA squads, and teams from the four other countries.
According to Alon Basker, MDA instruction development director, the teams were challenged with events designed to test their skills and knowledge in high-pressure situations, ranging from changing a flat tire en route to a call, to climbing down a cliff in full gear to reach an injured child,
"It was a success because we were able to learn from the Israeli teams and meet colleagues from around the world, and we got to experience a beautiful country and culture while doing so," said Severo "Tre" Rodriguez of the Canadian team.
The first annual "OlympiMaDA" was closed by a ceremony which included a procession of dozens of ambulances around Tiberias's Magen David Adom station. Greeted by the mayor of Tiberias Zohar Oved and MDA director-general Eli Bin the team from the capital were presented with the first-place plaque.
