At least two killed in Los Angeles commuter train collision

Two people were killed in the collision of a commuter train and a freight train on Friday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said. The number of injured was not known. Firefighters were battling a fire under part of the wreckage and were pulling people from the commuter car, which had toppled onto its side and was partly torn open. "I'm sure there are injuries. I'm sure there are a lot of injuries," said Ron Haralson, an inspector with the Los Angles County Fire Department. He said the trains collided at 4:32 p.m. in the San Fernando Valley.
