British Soldier killed in Afghanistan

Britain's military says one of its soldiers has died in an explosion in Afghanistan. The Ministry of Defense says a royal marine from the Commando Logistics Regiment was killed Sunday morning during routine operations in Nad-e-Ali, an area northwest of Helmand's provincial capital, Lashkar Gah. The marine's family has been informed. The death brings to 135 the number of British military personnel who have died while serving in Afghanistan since that country's invasion by US-led forces following the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks in the United States.
