Iranian militants killed 16 kidnapped police

Iranian state radio reported on Friday that a militant group active in Iran killed all 16 police officers it abducted in June. The report quoted deputy police chief, Gen. Hossein Sajedinia, as saying that the kidnapped troops were "martyred two weeks after their abduction." Gen. Sajedinia said that the killings took place at different times. Shortly after the abduction, the Sunni Muslim Jundallah group said it executed two of the officers and threatened to kill the remaining 14 unless imprisoned members of the group were released.
