The European Union accepted an Israeli request that a high-profile summit be postponed in order to give Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu time to formulate his Mideast peace policy, the Foreign Ministry said Thursday. The delay came ahead of a trip to Europe next week by Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman. The Foreign Ministry said the EU agreed to reschedule the summit on Israeli-Europe relations from May to June. Lieberman and European foreign ministers are expected to attend the gathering.
