Moderate earthquake hits inland Southern California

A moderate earthquake hit Southern California on Friday night and could be felt from San Diego to Los Angeles.
The temblor was a 5.5-magnitude that struck just outside Ludlow on Interstate 40, about 193 kilometers east of Los Angeles, the US Geological Survey said.
There were no immediate reports of damage in San Diego along the coast or Joshua Tree in the desert where the quake was also felt.
