Pakistani premier: No foreign troops allowed to operate inside Pakistan

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Saturday that his government would not allow any foreign forces to operate against militants inside the country, but said Pakistan would continue to support the international community in the war on terror. Addressing the nation on state-run Pakistan Television late Saturday, Gilani said his country had the capability to act against the terrorists and "we will take actions against them inside our frontiers on our own." The comments by Gilani come as Kabul expressed concern over a rise in violence inside Afghanistan, accusing Islamabad and its main intelligence agency of backing insurgents. Without mentioning Afghanistan, Gilani said Islamabad wanted good and cordial relations with all of its neighbors.
