Spain: funeral for soldiers killed in Afghanistan

Crown Prince Felipe tried to comfort the widows of two Spanish soldiers killed in a suicide attack in Afghanistan, paying his condolences Tuesday at their funeral. The prince and his wife, Crown Princess Letizia, embraced and shook hands with the widows and other mourners at the service held in Galicia, the northwestern region where both men were from. A military band played Chopin's funeral march as troops carried coffins draped in Spain's red and yellow flag. The soldiers died Sunday in an attack on a Spanish convoy in western Afghanistan, where Spain has about 800 soldiers deployed. Four other soldiers were wounded.
