Swine flu case confirmed in Germany

Bavaria's health ministry says the first case of swine flu has been confirmed in Germany. The ministry said Wednesday that the case was confirmed by the Robert Koch Institute, Germany's national disease control center. It said in a brief statement that the case involves a patient in the Regensburg area, north of Munich. Britain and Spain already have confirmed cases of the disease, which was first detected in Mexico and has now been found in several other countries worldwide.
