Swiss president defends meeting with Ahmadinejad

In a radio interview Monday, Swiss President Hans-Rudolf Merz defended his meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and said criticism was unjustified. "Switzerland is neutral and not part of any alliance," Merz said, adding that it is part of his country's national tradition to offer its mediation services.
