Turkey on Saturday confirmed the first case of swine flu in the country.
The Turkish Health Ministry said Saturday the case was detected in a man who had traveled to Istanbul from the US via Amsterdam.
Private NTV television said the man was placed under observation in a hospital in Istanbul.
Turkey has placed thermal cameras at airports and sea ports to detect people with flu.
