Three US soldiers were killed Sunday when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb northwest of capital, the US command said. That brought the number of Americans killed this weekend in the capital area to eight.
The latest deaths occurred about 11:30 a.m., the command said without specifying the exact location or giving further details.
Five Americans died Saturday in bombings in the southern area of the capital, according to the US army.
