Two gunmen reportedly armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles stormed the headquarters of a French satirical magazine in Paris, killing at least 12 people, Reuters reported on Wednesday.

Amateur video filmed near the scene captured gunshots heard in the area in central Paris.

"We have avenged the prophet," the gunmen were reported to have shouted after the shooting spree at the offices of Charlie Hebdo, a weekly satirical news magazine that in the past has angered Muslims for printing cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.
