A senior Iranian delegate on Wednesday urged Washington to act on US President Barack Obama's pledge of honest dialogue with Teheran.
But his US counterpart asserted that Iran was its worst enemy in refusing to cooperate with a UN probe meant to dispel fears that Teheran was interested in possessing nuclear arms.
The two nations' chief representatives were commenting to the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation board.
