Man hanged in Iran for spying for Israel

A Iranian judiciary spokesman said on Saturday that a man convicted of spying for Israel had been hanged. Judicial spokesman Ali Reza Jamshidi said that Ali Ashtari was hanged on November 17 after being sentenced to death on June 30 by a revolutionary court in Teheran. The spokesman said that Ashtari was found guilty of relaying sensitive information on military, defense and research centers to Israeli intelligence officers. The 45-year-old electronics salesman's worked in supplying military, security and defense centers across the Iran.
