A 30-year-old-man was gunned down in Bat Yam Thursday afternoon in a suspected mob assassination.

The victim, whose name is currently under gag order, was shot at the corner of Balfour Street and Rothschild. He was treated by Magen David Adom responders, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Police, which say the victim has a criminal background, are investigating whether the shooting came from a passing motorcycle.

The shooting comes as indictments were handed out in case “No. 1131,” which deals with multiple mob-related murders and attempted murders, including against Moshe Ben David, 47; Shmuel Ben David, 25; and one other defendant whose name is under a gag order.

Moshe Ben David is accused of the murder of Mor Algrabli six years ago.

According to police, Moshe Ben David tried to flee the country on a yacht after being released to house arrest last month.

Police, on August 2, arrested 14 suspects in connection with case No. 1131 including one suspect, who allegedly is the head of a major criminal organization.

Those arrested are suspected of involvement in the assassination of Avi David, who was shot at point-blank range outside a Bat Yam steakhouse in October 2011, and the deaths of Jordan Azoulay, Sharon Mizrahi, Yitzhak Geffen, Mor Algrabli, Moshe Anhiisi, Rami Amira and Bar Cohen.
