A 43-year old man was arrested at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport when he attempted to board a flight to Israel, German Customs said in a press release.

The incident took place in 2018 but was only made public this week.

The man attempted to smuggle a 15.75 inch boa-constrictor snake in a bag he kept in his pants, Fox News reported.

The reptile was brought to a rescue center in Brandenburg, Germany, after being removed from the man at the airport.
