It’s not an Oscar or a Golden Globe, but Gal Gadot might finally take home a prize this awards season. The Israeli actress and Wonder Woman star was nominated this week for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award.
Gadot was nominated as favorite movie actress for her star turn as Wonder Woman in both the standalone film and Justice League. In that category she’s up against Anna Kendrick, Daisy Ridley, Emma Watson, Zendaya and Zoe Saldana.
And Wonder Woman itself is nominated as best film, competing against an intense slate of blockbusters: Beauty and the Beast, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Pitch Perfect 3, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and The Greatest Showman.

So so awesome to be nominated for 2 Kids Choice Awards!! Thank you! ‍♀️

On her Twitter account Tuesday Gadot said it was “so so awesome to be nominated.”
Unlike the glitz and glamour of many Hollywood awards shows, the Nickelodeon-run ceremony is known for its silly, goofy nature – and for covering its guests with green slime.
Now that the nominations have been announced, voting takes place online until the ceremony on March 24.
While Gadot wasn’t nominated for an Academy Award, she will be taking the stage at the ceremony this Sunday to present one of the prizes. And it’s pretty safe to say there will be no green slime involved that night.
