Israeli actress Gal Gadot has signed on as the face of local TV provider HOT.
The company announced Wednesday that the Wonder Woman star will appear in a new slate of commercials under the slogan “There’s no place like HOT.”
Gadot is currently in Israel to celebrate Passover with family and friends, although it appears she is mixing business and pleasure.
The actress is the face of many international ad campaigns, including Revlon, Reebok and Huawei. This is her first Israeli publicity deal in many years.
“I’m happy to represent HOT in Israel,” Gadot said in a statement released by the company on Wednesday. “I feel that there is a connection between us around the values of innovation, creativity and our Israeli pride in what we represent.”
HOT is responsible for a series of hit Israeli shows, including Juda, Shababnikim, Autonomies, Miguel, Mekimi and many more. Last month, it signed a distribution deal with Viacom, and many of its shows have scored US remakes.
The company said that Gadot will film a series of commercials alongside the stars of HOT’s most popular shows, under its branding “Israeli pride.”
“HOT is proud to present the company’s new face, Gal Gadot,” its CEO, Tal Granot-Goldstein, said Wednesday. “Six months ago, the company unveiled a new branding, and now we’re advancing to the next level... our partnership with Gal is natural and obvious. Gal is an example and model of Israeliness and she will lead the launch of HOT’s new campaign under the message ‘Israeli pride.’”
