An eclectic group of vaguely familiar faces and C-list celebrities hopped on a plane in Tel Aviv yesterday headed for the Philippines.

It’s not a vacation they’re destined for; the group is flying out to film a new season of Israel’s Celebrity Survivor.

One of the best known in the cast – though not necessarily for good reasons – is Meni Naftali, the former housekeeper for the Netanyahu family. In recent years, Naftali has emerged as a prominent critic of the prime minister and his household, even testifying in court about the family’s excessive spending and habits. He has become a regular talk show guest and a fixture at protests against Netanyahu.

But he won’t be the only so-called celebrity with a connection to the Netanyahu family taking part in this season. Another cast member is Orin Julie, a model specifically for weaponry who once dated Avner Netanyahu, the prime minister’s youngest son. The pair were spotted out together in July, but rumors of their relationship may be greatly exaggerated.

Others in the cast include Fauda star Luna Mansour, who plays Marwa in the show; former Miss Israel Rotem Rabi; and Simcha Gueta, the daughter of former Shas MK Yigal Gueta, who is already a reality TV veteran.

Happy weekend mi gente By the lovely chico @craft7

The group is heading to the Philippines to film the show for approximately two months, which includes the period of the High Holidays.

The show is not slated to air until next year.
