1. DON’T LOOK BACK, JACK
In the new film Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, investigator Jack Reacher springs into action after the arrest of his former commander Susan Turner, an Army major accused of treason. Suspecting foul play, Richer embarks on a mission to prove that the head of his old unit is innocent. Richer crosses paths with the law, and he must go on the lam to uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy that involves the death of US soldiers. With Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders.
2. ‘MADMEN’ MADNESS
HOT will be airing all the seasons of the awardwinning series Mad Men, considered one of TV’s all-time best shows. The series, whose last season was said to have been its best, follows the complicated stories of the men and women of the advertising industry on New York’s Madison Avenue in the 1960s.

3. CRACKING UP ISRAEL
The Koby Mandell Foundation presents the Israeli premiere of Avi Liberman’s Comedy Road – a hilarious look at how some of America's top stand-up comedians came to discover Israel, cracking up audiences while revealing a perspective on the country the world rarely gets to see. Featuring Jeffrey Ross, Harland Williams, Craig Robinson, Gary Gulman, Dennis Regan, Wayne Federman and many more.
October 20 at 8:30 p.m., Jerusalem Cinematheque.

4. EIFMAN BALLET RETURNS
Boris Eifman and his dancers return to the Opera House with two programs that have won acclaim in Israel and abroad: Red Giselle, Eifman’s modern version of the classic Giselle ballet to music by Tchaikovsky, Shnittke and Bizet; and Up & Down (Tender Is the Night), which was performed on the company’s recent visit, a story about a shattered dream of joy and carefree life, accompanied by jazz rhythms that turn the story into a nightmare.
From October 25 at the Opera House, Tel Aviv. There will also be one performance of ‘Red Giselle’ on October 30 in Beersheba.
5. ON THE FRINGE
The four-day annual Acre International Fringe Theater Festival takes place among the Crusader ruins and beachfront promenades of the Old City of Acre. The festival features more than 60 performances of original, avant-garde fringe theater from Israel and abroad by some 500 artists. The 37th edition of the festival features theater premieres, street theater, parades, interactive theater, dance performances, video and musical performances, a craft fair, discussion panels and much more. October 17 to 20.

6. EARTH DANCE
The Succot Adama Dance Festival in Mitzpe Ramon will feature workshops and master classes in motion led by teachers and dancers from the Liat Dror and Nir Ben- Gal Dance Company and other companies from abroad.
There will also be performances by innovative young Israeli dancers and many classes, including yoga, contemporary dance, choreography and relaxation, as well as soft martial arts, aerial acrobatics, contact and reflection.

7. FOR MOVIE LOVERS
The Haifa International Film Festival features an interesting mix of films from Israel and around the world, including an unprecedented number of premieres and 280 film screenings, as well as outdoor activities and workshops.

8. CYCLING IN THE CITY
The Tel Aviv Crosstown Bike Ride takes place every year during Succot, leaving many of the city’s main streets closed off to motorists. The bike ride, which starts and ends in Hayarkon Park, follows a route that includes the Ayalon Freeway, the seafront and many of the city’s boulevards. There are four routes, ranging in length from 8 km. to 41km., as well as many accompanying events.

9. ILLUMINATING ART
Artist Ariela Wertheimer presents a new exhibition “The Freedom to Let Go,“ a series of works created in multimedia, painting and light boxes. Wertheimer is inspired by Israelis from all walks of life – the fisherman, the market peddler, the Holocaust survivor, the older widow and more.

10. HERZL BY HERZL
For Succot, the Herzl Museum presents an exhibition of digital art created by Israel Herzl, a fourth cousin of Theodor Herzl, curated by Hadas Keidar, also a member of the Herzl family. The 20 works in the exhibition illuminate Herzl as a young man, a student and a statesman in a new digital technique that projects his personality.
