The free concert was part of an initiative to foster action to help end poverty by 2030, and most of the 60,000 attendees were invited to the show via their anti-poverty activism.

Other performers at the show which was broadcast on NBC TV in the US and streamed live on included host Hugh Jackman, Jay-Z, Carrie Underwood, Jessica Alba and The Roots.

When Keys performed last year in Tel Aviv at the Nokia Arena, she invited Raichel to sing a duet.
